Theodore John Mayer

	Theodore John 'Tater' Mayer, age 43, of Coulterville, passed away Friday morning, May 31, 2002 at his home.
	Tater was born July 23, 1958 in Pinckneyville, the son of Theodore E. and Emma (Laubenthal) Mayer.  He was united in marriage to Judy Ruebke on August 21, 1982 at Sparta and she survives.  Tater was a self-employed farmer and worked for Consolidated Coal Company, Burning Star #4 in Cutler for 18 years.  He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Conant and a member of the UMWA.
	Tater is survived by his mother; wife Judy and daughter Katelyn; a sister, Emma 'E.J.' Steele and her husband Mark and their daughter Nikki and two aunts, Freda (Mayer) and husband Hank Luker of Michigan and Edie (Mayer) and her husband Dave Verberder of St. Louis, Mo.  He was preceded in death by his father and two uncles, Fred and Carl.
	Funeral services were Tuesday morning, June 4 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Conant with Pastor Russ Helbig officiating.  Interment was in the Hopewell Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 8 until 10:15 a.m.
	Memorials may be made to the Pinckneyville City Park Playground Fund or the Trinity Lutheran Building Project.
